There are a lot of fabulous events that happen here in the V3H. But this month there’s something I’m really excited about – the West Coast Chocolate Festival. The festival is taking place throughout Metro Vancouver from October 15 to November 10. But several really fabulous events are happening in our area. I’m sure I won’t have to twist many arms to convince you to check them out.
The festival opens on October 15 in Coquitlam with Salon du Chocolat at the Red Robinson Show Theatre. The launch event will showcase many of our participating sponsors, offer a vast selection of samples and tastings. Then, on October 17 the Outlet in Port Coquitlam will play host to Craft Beer and Chocolate.
A trio of meditation events involving chocolate will take place at Veracis Wellness in Port Moody on October 22 and then again on October 29. There will be Chocolate Meditation & Spirit Fitness, Chocolate Meditation & Wise Yoga, and A Mindful Experience Seminar & Candlelight Meditation. Serenity and chocolate all in one place? How can you go wrong? (My answer? You can’t.)
The Old Mill Boathouse in Port Moody will play host to Just Here for the Beer…..and Chocolate on October 23. Or if beer isn’t your speed you can visit Place des Arts in Coquitlam for Wines, Liqueurs, and Chocolates on October 24. Finally, if you are more of a tea person you will have two chances to attend A Tealicious Chocolate Tasting. The first is on October 25 at the Gathering Place in Port Coquitlam, and the second is on November 8 at the Heritage Tea House in Port Moody.
If you want to venture further afield, there are also festival events in Burnaby and Vancouver. Tickets are available online. Or, for more information you can email dawn@chocolatefestival.ca or call 604.628.9547
Now, can I ask you a favour? Please save a little chocolate for me!
