Making it two days in a row about the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation, the Charity Golf Classic is coming Thursday, May 27th. There are still a few spots available for the day at Swan-e-Set Bay Resort & Country Club, and what a day it’s shaping up to be.
The Food: Continental Tim Horton’s Breakfast, A La Golf Cart Lunch & Swan-e-Set’s buffet dinner. I’ve enjoyed the Swan-e-Set dining a few times, and it’s well worth the trip
The Course: Golfer registration starts at 9:30am and you’ll be able to demo Callaway clubs on the range. Announcements at your cart at 10:45am, shotgun start at 11am. You’ll play your own ball over 18 spectacular holes, playing 9 on the Resort and 9 on the Links course.
The Contests: Great Canadian Ball Drop, Rand & Fowler Insurance Million Dollar Shoot Out, MedRay MRI’s Beat the Pro, Silent Auction & more!
Round of golf, food all day, and a chance at some great prizes, all for $225 a golfer.
Proceeds from the event will help bring critical equipment to Eagle Ridge Hospital. Over 40,000 patients visited the ER there last year, including my 18 month old who choked on a piece of his sister’s jewellery. The staff were amazing, and he was back playing that morning. The Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation purchased over 50% of the new equipment at the hospital last year, and it’s events like these that make it all possible.
So even if you don’t have a toddler with bad judgement, get out and enjoy a luxurious day on the links, and give back to your community.
