One of the highlights of the Coquitlam Festival circuit takes place this weekend. The 2010 version of the Korean Heritage Day Festival takes place this Saturday, August 14th. The site is open from 10am to 6pm at Blue Mountain Park (975 King Albert Avenue).
The food will once again be fantastic, with Korean vendors serving up traditional favourites. The theme of this 9th annual festival is “Harmony.” To celebrate the theme, there will be a number of performing groups from Korean and non-Korean communities from across the Lower Mainland. Another highlight will be the “Korean Fest Idol Contest” presented by Tom Lee Music. Eight finalists will compete for the title on the main stage. Check out the video
The “Kid’s Zone” will be hopping all day with plenty of activities for the shorter people in your life. Admission is free. For more information, call 604.720.8949 or visit www.kchs.ca
