Last year marked the return of the Society of Community Development’s Spirit of Community Awards as part of the annual Taste of the Tri-Cities. Held in the mezzanine of the Red Robinson Theatre in Coquitlam, it was a great atmosphere to pay tribute to some of our finest citizens.
â€Last year we were overwhelmed by the positive response of the community to the return of SOCA,†said Cathy Burpee, Chair of SCD. â€The nominees we met truly provided an evening an inspiration and celebration. As we open the nomination process for 2011, we look forward to hearing about more of our remarkable citizens.â€
