In the past few years technology has been making a more and more prominent appearance in our lives. It’s gotten to the point where e-readers have become quite popular and old-school paper books are being left on the shelves to gather dust. It is no secret that many publishers are switching to making books available in an e-book format and that sales for regular books are declining. Of course the fewer books we print, the less paper is wasted. That’s great for our depleting forests. Yet wrapping yourself in a blanket with a cup of tea and an e-reader on a rainy day isn’t the same thing as having a book. There’s no flipping of pages and no smell of paper and ink that is so comforting.
