Minnekhada Lodge was built in 1934 in Northeastern Coquitlam as a country retreat and hunting lodge by lumber magnate Eric W. Hamber, who later became Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia. Art in the Park a Big Success

During the weekend of August 22nd and 23rd, the first annual Art in the Park Festival was held in Minnekhada Park.
